Peak Futures’ debut album Colours of the Sun is out now on Community Laundry Records
“..an impeccable debut record.. this was about as a cohesive listen as you could possibly get. Our sincere recommendation here is to click play at the beginning on “Orion” and let the music flow through you until the final moments..”
– We Write About Music, May 2021
“ ‘Colours of the Sun’ is evidence of Peak Futures’ inexhaustible talent for lyric, melody, and hooks. It has a little bit of everything for everyone.”
– Emmie Norton, Reyt Good Music, June 2021
“’Orion’ sees the group return in stellar form. With notable nods to likes of Radiohead, this new offering showcases their broad and atmospheric direction in a new and adventurous light.”
— Chris Bound, Mystic Sons, 4th March 2021

A brief history:
Peak Futures is a unique soul music collective brought together by writer-producer Chris Hills in London. The group recorded their debut record “Colours of the Sun” in early 2020; the opening shot – cathartic retro stomper Tapestry – was followed in Spring 2021 by part one of interstellar diptych Orion and the digital release of the full album in May.
As a sideman, co-writer and producer in New York City, Chris worked alongside indie pop artist St. Lenox as well as collaborating closely with Pauli the PSM (MD/percussion for Harry Styles, drummer for FKA Twigs, Damon Albarn), who features on the album both as artist and drummer. They are joined by keyboardist/producer Sara De Santis (Kindness, Sundara Karma) and singer Joe Bernie (Longlight).
“Colours of the Sun” threads a bold sonic path which criss-crosses from the stellar to the earthly and back, touching on both the richness of everyday experience as well as the cosmic wonders of the universe.
